Pursuing Justice Since 1896

When you have a legal issue that has the potential to impact your life, you deserve to be represented by an established firm with demonstrated success. The law firm of Peters, Habib, McKenna, Juhl-Rhodes & Cardoza, LLP traces its origin back to Guy R. Kennedy, a nephew of Annie and General John Bidwell, who helped developed the Chico area through a land grant in the 1800s. Sometime after Mr. Kennedy established his practice in approximately 1896, Jerome Peters, Sr. joined Mr. Kennedy in the practice of law, followed by his son, Jerome Peters, Jr. Areas of the firm’s practice now extend throughout California.

Emphasis is placed on a broad range of litigation matters and legal representation so we can serve as many clients as possible. Our Chico attorneys are also locally based and are familiar with the judges, courts, and insurance companies in our area, and we are actively involved in civic, professional, and community activities.
