Willing to Negotiate. Ready for Trial.
Working with a lawyer should reduce the stress you feel, not add to it. Our attorneys work to find ways to avoid litigation and resolve cases efficiently, when possible. However, if going to trial is unavoidable, then we are ready and able to fight for your rights in court.

History of the Firm
The law firm of Peters, Habib, McKenna, Juhl-Rhodes & Cardoza, LLP traces its origin back to Guy R. Kennedy, a nephew of Annie and General Bidwell, who developed the Chico area through a land grant in the 1800’s. Sometime after Mr. Kennedy established his practice in approximately 1896, Jerome Peters, Sr. joined Mr. Kennedy in the practice of law, followed by his son, Jerome Peters, Jr. Areas of the firm’s practice now extend to all of Northern California. Emphasis is placed on a broad range of litigation matters and legal representation. The firm encourages active community involvement by its members in civic and professional activities.
